From planning and design to construction and materials, we'll walk you through every step of the process to help you replace or install your siding.

Step 6: Install Your Siding

When installing siding, ensure your first row is perfectly level and check for level every couple of rows. Make sure you tap your siding down to ensure proper gapping. Refer to the installation manual for proper nailing patterns. If you are installing an end match product, landing on strapping is not required. However, if you are not using an end match product, you must land on strapping.

When you are butt joining your ends, a scarf cut is typically used. Make sure you touch up all cut ends with the touch-up paint or applicator provided. When in doubt, refer to your installation manual.
