Marko Merhar of Boise Cascade provides a comprehensive review of Boise Cascade's Engineered Wood Products (EWP) infrastructure, product lines, and engineering tools available in the Ontario market. It covers the end-to-end manufacturing and certification process for I-Joists (IJ) and Laminated Veneer Lumber (LVL), while outlining best practices for specifying products using Boise's design software. Additionally, the session examines critical field execution and special design challenges, analyzing real-world case studies involving structural stability, insurance claims, and the job-site friction that can arise.
