Steel base designed to securely fix a 4 in X 4 in planned square post to a floor. Its steel construction makes it resistant and sturdy. Easy to install and maintenance-free: simply screw Fixbase 44 to the post from below, then to the floor, then tighten the base bolts on the post. It is equipped with a 2-¾ in high collar which allows a regulatory height at the bottom rail according to the requirements of the Building Code. The piece is coated with baked powder coat paint providing excellent rust resistance.
