Step 8: Accessorizing
In regards to fences, next steps are generally limited to maintaining your fence, such as replacing boards and staining. Although, accessorizing your fence can go a long way in order to make your fence more visually pleasing.
Fence Caps
When fence projects are complete, the homeowner often views the tops of the fence posts as unappealing. The bottom is cemented underground, but what about the top? Fence caps are an excellent way to give your fence that ‘finished’ feeling. Caps can come in a variety of designs and do not affect fence structure, therefore, there are no limitations and the homeowner can choose any design they like so long as the dimensions fit their posts. You could also make your own fence caps!
Hanging Planters
For an added aesthetic gain, hanging floral pieces and planters from your fence is an option. Once again options are limitless and range in sizes as well as different types of flowers. You can hang planters from your fence rails or even drill into your posts and install.
