Turkstra Cares

Over 70 years of supporting our communities and building relationships to last a lifetime.

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats

Turkstra Lumber is a proud sponsor of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and our Title Sponsorship game was dedicated to employees of Turkstra and their families. Over 200 guests attended the game and were presented special co-branded t-shirts plus a meal and drink voucher. We even got to participate in the opening ceremony waving the oversized flag at midfield. We were fortunate to be able to do this for both our 65th and 70th anniversary.

African Lion Safari

Turkstra Lumber has organized this event twice in the last few years. We hosted over 400 people, employees and their family members, for food, fun and adventure at the African Lion Safari.

Golf Tournament

The Turkstra Lumber Golf Tournament is a long-standing tradition in the company. An open invite is sent to all employees to join some of our customers and vendors for a fun filled day of team building, mingling and of course, a little bit of golf, followed by dinner, speeches and prizes to the day’s best players.

Softball Tournament

In 2023, 2024, and 2025 we were fortunate enough to revitalize something many of us have wanted to do for years... a company-wide softball tournament. With four teams and four games being played for each team all on a single day - we had a blast (despite all being sore afterwards).
